About Coach Callie

Passionate About People

As a Professional Certified Coach and Registered Nurse, I am committed to inspiring individuals like you to achieve your highest potential through the discovery of unrealized visions and goals, both personal and professional.

I also work with teams and organizations to foster healthy and collaborative working relationships, optimize team performance, and support employee wellbeing.

Since I was a young child, I’ve always believed that people have great talent and gifts within them; they just need the courage and opportunity to express them. The joy of life is realized when people are able to connect to their unique gifts, discover outlets to express themselves, and contribute in a meaningful and positive way.

“If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place.”   -Eckert Tolle

Inspiring Connection to Self and Others

My passion is to help people live the life they want to live and be the person they are intended to be. I believe that when people bring their whole self to their work—mind, body, and spirit—it supports sustainable success in business.  Connecting to self and others in a meaningful and effective way allows individuals and teams to thrive and to work with greater consciousness and intention.

My experience has taught me that coaching works to create sustainable transformation. I have personally enjoyed greater connection, fulfillment, and success as a result of “walking the talk” of the coach approach. Through my own personal development journey, I have transformed the way in which I live, work, and lead.

I am a positive person and develop safe, open, and trusting coaching relationships with my clients. I support people in identifying and leveraging their strengths, increasing awareness of blind spots, building and strengthening leadership competencies, and relating with others more effectively.

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”   -Brene Brown

Experience & Industry Expertise

I have over 10 years experience in both public and private healthcare systems in Canada and the US.  I have coached over 500 clients and am experienced at coaching leaders in healthcare, wealth management, real estate sales and development, autobody, and legal sectors.

My experience coaching people throughout all stages of career evolution—from career discovery to retirement transition at the senior executive level—has given me a broad perspective of the competencies, needs, and values that arise at each different phase. I specialize in leadership development, workplace relationships, communication, career transition, workplace wellness, employee engagement, and work/life satisfaction.

Additionally, I customize workshops and retreats to meet the individual needs of the teams and organizations I partner with in order to create a transformative experience for participants.  Workshop activities can include:

  • Team cohesion exercises
  •  Strategic planning
  • Team renewal retreats
  • The creation of a coaching culture
  • Leadership development
  • Strengths-based management
  • Effective communication
  • Employee wellness

Physician Coaching

As a coach for physicians and medical trainees with the Physician Health Program of BC, I am able to help physicians achieve and sustain excellence and fulfillment in their medical practice.  I am also an Executive Coach with Canadian Medical Association’s Coaching Connections Program, which connects physicians to Professional Certified Coaches that have extensive experience working with physicians in the areas of career and leadership development.

I have contributed my coaching expertise to help develop a patient self-management education module for the Practice Support Program of BC, which provides physicians with coaching principles, skills, and tools to integrate into their medical practice.

As a wellness coach, I also developed and integrated an innovative wellness coaching program into a family practice and collaborative care centre in Vancouver. Through this program, I was able to successfully support patients in making lifestyle choices to manage chronic disease more effectively, and to optimize patient health outcomes.

“Leaders must be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate them.”
– John C. Maxwell

My Inspirations

Volunteering has always been an important aspect of my life, from teaching English in the Galapagos Islands, to providing counselling for the Vancouver Crisis Centre.  I served as a board member of the International Coach Federation, Vancouver chapter, from 2009-2011 and I currently mentor new coaches as they begin their coaching careers.

I live in beautiful Vancouver, B.C., with my two young children. My children inspire me to stretch beyond my comfort zone, make value-based decisions, and live my best life possible.

I enjoy engaging in personal learning and growth, yoga, spending time at the ocean side, travelling, watching movies, reading, painting, connecting with friends and family, and skiing.
